Watch Out! little cat is a song I made for a music composition class during my second semester at Champlain College.

We were challenged to create something unlike anything we had made before, and I chose to create a breakbeat track using a meowing cat as the melody. Throughout the process, I learned a lot about sampling audio and various automation techniques in Logic Pro. Additionally, I learned how to use the bitcrush and arpeggiator plugins, which helped me emulate the breakbeat style.

I also created the music video using Adobe Premiere Pro, which helped visualize the story that I wanted to tell through the music. While it was challenging to learn at first, I am glad to have added video editing to my skill set! I also created the album art using Adobe Photoshop.

Supermarket Scramble

Supermarket Scramble is a fast-paced first-person collectathon with roguelike elements, created by a 10-person team in just four days for the 2025 GMTK game jam.

As a composer, I collaborated with a mixing engineer to produce a soundtrack that enhances the game's frantic energy using looping samples and synthesized speech. The usage of loops allowed me to focus on creating an interesting composition with stylistic cohesion. This also allowed me to quickly iterate on the track as I received feedback from my teammates.

The track Attention Shoppers serves as the main level theme. To match the hectic gameplay, I layered multiple drum loops with a chopped lead synth and varied accompanying instruments. The track is split into two parts: a short intro section that eases players into the gameplay, followed by a looping body section. Using an adaptive approach allowed us to ease the player into the gameplay while allowing the music to build in intensity.

BagMan: The Heist

BagMan: The Heist is a 2D movement platformer with speedrunning elements created by a four-person team for the 72-hr Winter Melon Jam.

As the sound designer, I handled the complete audio pipeline, from recording and synthesizing SFX to implementing adaptive audio systems using FMOD. Using C# programming, I created a streamlined audio manager to handle playback and simplify implementation within Unity.

The level themes Make It Quick, as well as And a Clean Getaway! showcase the game’s adaptive audio system. When the player begins the level, the lower intensity Make It Quick plays, reflecting the precise and focused gameplay. However, once the player has stolen what they were after, the music transitions to the higher intensity And a Clean Getaway!, indicating that the player must escape before they are caught! Additionally, many sound effects are randomly selected from arrays of different variations to prevent audio fatigue across multiple runs.
